Abstract
Nucor employees work in a physically demanding environment. Steel production requires the use of heavy equipment, extremely high temperatures, and challenging infrastructure. During shifts, employees engage in significant amounts of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Nucor recognizes the inherent hazards associated with the steel production industry and the importance of ensuring the safety of the employees. The purpose of this project was to develop a manual for the occupational clinic to utilize for increasing health and safety at Nucor.
