Abstract
This Thesis Project examines, Judd Hill Plantation, a farm that is most certainly more than just a farm located in Poinsett Country near Trumann, Arkansas. It is the aim of this work to show the history of the Hill and Chapin's family, the takeover of the Plantation, life on Judd Hill (Family, tenants, etc.), the current and future aspirations of the farm. The first section in the project is the initial ideal of the documentary, the oral history. The oral history, More Than Just A Farm (Judd Hill Plantation) explains how the farm has grown and the aspirations of the farm and the people who work on the farm. The second, third, and fourth sections of content included: More Than A Farm (Judd Hill Plantation) the proposal (addresses the working hypothesis, interpretation, topic background, action sequences, main characters, conflict, the audience bias, on camera interviews, structure, form and style, resolution, and logistics of the documentary), the script of how the project were edited, and the logging of video footage. The remainder of the thesis project includes a final script, which is how the documentary was exactly edited; along, with release forms from interviewees, music and photos). The order of the paper includes an oral history, working proposal, script, logging of video footage, and talent releases forms. More Than A Farm most certainly is a story that changed over the course of the time, from undeveloped timber to thriving plantation impacting the world.
