Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine Thai governments' press releases in the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT) website in two periods. The first period was from September 2005 to September 2006 and the second period was from December 2008 to May 2010. The two Thai governments mostly employed the social division frame in their press releases. There were highly different opinions between the groups of people who were against and those who supported these two governments. In addition, over half of stories had the conflict of interest frame, which showed one of possible reasons the crisis came from the conflict between leaders in each groups. Furthermore, the governments used justification strategy in published news topics about the situation. There were differences between those government, in the use of sources, which Thaksin's government frequently used executive government officials and military as the sources, while Aphisit's government mainly used executive government officials as the sources.
