Abstract
This study investigated what nurses know about stuttering and their perceptions of people who stutter to contribute to research concerning building medical professionalism with people who stutter. An electronic survey was distributed to licensed nurses in the United States through a social media post. Results revealed that nurses are unsure of the cause of stuttering, which aligns with current research on the cause of stuttering.
