Abstract
This thesis contains three chapters. In chapter one, the synthesis of dihydropyrido-pyrimidones derivatives by using hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) as a solvent was reported and the synthesized compounds were tested against different bacteria but no activity was observed. In the second chapter, the syntheses of thiazoline and thiazole derivatives were reported. In this methodology, HFIP was used to promote for the reaction and sixty new molecules were synthesized. Two of these compounds showed promising activity as a potent anti-cancer agent against several cell lines. In the third chapter, pyrazole derivatives were synthesized and tested against different types of bacteria. Among these compounds, six molecules inhibited A. baumannii at low concentrations, three compounds showed activities against S. aureus, and five products showed moderate activities against B. subtilis
