Abstract
Though asexuality has had a place in the empirical literature for 20 years, it has rarely been studied empirically. The study of discrimination towards asexuals has been studied even less, in part, due to few existing relevant measures. To address the gap in measurement, a scale was created to measure discriminatory attitudes towards asexuals. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were conducted to determine the model of the measure. A six-factor model was discovered: Inhuman View, Social Relationships, Disorder View, LGBT+ Community, Transient View, and Romantic Relationships. The DAA was found to have very strong reliability (α = .96) and converged with relevant construct scales as expected.
