Abstract
Although social media is widely used by non-profit organizations (NPO) to raise funds, little is known about how it is used and how it can be utilized for fundraising. This study provides an analysis of the various aspects of social media and its use for fundraising by focusing on the data of humanitarian aid provisions of King Salman's humanitarian organization in Saudi Arabia. The data collected came from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, from October 2019 to May 2022. The study used the search terms: "coronavirus", "quick fix" and "helpful." For data analysis, n-Vivo software was used. The study looks into various categories of support received by the organization on social media. The study concluded that the increase in charitable organizations requires non-profit organizations to keep pace with the latest technologies. The study recommends considering the availability of media coverage as it promotes non-profit organizations’ programs, and activities and attract more donors.
