Description
FROM THE DIRECTOR - DayDay Robinson
Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place so familiar yet just out of reach. A place where love is at the forefront with all of its messiness, joy, sorrow, and charm. Where real people have humorous and poignant explorations of self, relationships, and just letting go.
When picking this show for our season, we wanted to find a play our students and our community would find relatable and hopeful, especially now when our society seems lonely, fractured, and disconnected. Despite its quirky antics, John Cariani’s Almost, Maine captures the complexities of the human heart, its reliance, and its fragility.
This production is particularly special because it marks the directorial debut of four of our students: Zane Brewer, Max Emery, Selena Hinds, and Haley Reed. We thank these students for their artistry and dedication to bringing these characters to life. With laughter, maybe some tears, and definitely a pinch of weirdness, we invite our audience to sit back and enjoy the magic of Almost, Maine.
