Abstract

The refugee crises are one of the burning issues of the present world and it raises different administrative challenges for the host country. Bangladesh has faced this problem since 2017. This study examines the impact of the Rohingya refugee crisis on the administrative capacity of Bangladesh. It also examines the actions taken by the Government of Bangladesh and people’s perception on this issue. After analysis it is found that the refugee crisis has a significant impact on the governmental effectiveness, political stability, internal security system and on the quality of public administration of in Bangladesh. But this crisis has no or less impact on the GDP growth rate and financial and budgetary management of Bangladesh. Finally, I recommend that, the government of Bangladesh have to create continuous pressure on Myanmar with the help of the United Nations and to formulate a mid-term strategic plan to support refugees.
